Classic SF - Sir Arthur C. Clarke
Isaac Asimov and Arthur C. Clarke ... two names that take me straight back to my early years. I saw
2001: A Space Oddysey in a village cinema in Spain, the stalls packed with British ex-pats. At the high point of the movie, when Hal is refusing to admit Dave to the ship, the film caught in the projector and the stench of burning celluloid filled the theatre. What timing!
I devoured Clarke's works as a teenager, and they were a fantastic introduction to the genre.
