Some things are too valuable to be shared.

Flat broke and stranded in a South American country, Ralph Gardiner is nursing a beer and contemplating the wreckage of his life. No money, no prospects, and worst of all ... the beer is warm.

Then a wealthy local businessman offers him a job, and Ralph figures he has nothing to lose.

He's wrong.

Ralph's new employer is searching for something that crashed to Earth a century ago, and the wreckage lies deep in the rainforest, three days from the nearest road.

But finding the crash site is only the beginning. When Ralph discovers a dead man with a bullet in his skull, he realises he could be next.

A tense science-fiction thriller short story.
